Jaspal Sidhu is a Singaporean. He is the Founder and Chairman of the SIS Group of Schools, Indonesia’s largest K-12 School Group. An expanding K-12 platform in the region, SIS is in a strategic partnership with the International Finance Co-operation (World Bank Group) to bring quality education to different income levels. SIS is also recognized for its several Public-Private Partnerships initiatives in Indonesia.
In London this year, SIS was awarded the prestigious Financial Times – International Finance Corporation (World Bank) global 2019 Transformational Award for its work and impact in the education sector aiming at the UN SDGs. SIS has in the past been in a partnership with a Strategic player and very recently with a private equity fund to build a regional Asian K-12 platform.
Jaspal speaks and moderates regularly in regional investment and education conferences including the IFC (World Bank) Education Conferences in San Francisco and Cape Town. He also sits on the Indonesia Economic Forum as an advisor. He has vast experience in the M&A field in the education sector.
Jaspal is also the Governing Council of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia. He has a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering and an MBA. He is also the amateur Stand-up comedy champion in Indonesia.
