Dr Farzana has a deeply-held belief in the power of education to transform the lives, attitudes and prospects of her home country. She has made it her mission to create widespread educational opportunities and provide accessible, high quality learning.
She is particularly very supportive of, and has actively encouraged, women’s empowerment in the country, an endeavour for which she was conferred an honorary PhD degree by the University of Staffordshire, UK.
Acknowledging her significant role in the development and advancement of private education in Pakistan, the citation by the Staffordshire University in the UK on the occasion of awarding the PhD degree to Dr Farzana stated:
"Increasing educational attainment is a current preoccupation in most countries across the world. But turning aspiration into achievement is a massive task. It requires good ideas, a passion for improvement and a vision which draws in the efforts of others."

"Good teaching," Dr Farzana says, "is not just a matter of being efficient, developing competence, mastering technique and possessing the right kind of knowledge. Good teaching is infused with pleasure, passion, creativity, challenge and joy; it is a passionate vocation."
